Directed by Boyapati Srinu and produced by Allu Aravind under Geetha Arts, the film stars Allu Arjun in the lead role. The movie became a major commercial success and was later dubbed into Malayalam as Yodhavu. Plot Summary
Gana, a former Indian National Army (INA) officer, leads a carefree life under the guidance of his uncle, Sripati. His father, Umapathi, criticizes him for lacking ambition. Meanwhile, Gana is sent to meet Mahalakshmi (Jaanu), a prospective bride, but he falls for MLA Hansitha Reddy instead.
At the same time, Vairam Dhanush, the corrupt son of the Chief Minister, gets involved in a case where his associate Veerendra kills a girl under the influence of drugs. When Hansitha attempts to seek justice for the girl’s family, they are driven to suicide due to lack of evidence. Furious, Gana takes matters into his own hands, brutally punishing Veerendra.
Hansitha is impressed by Gana’s courage and proposes marriage, on the condition that he gives up violence. However, Gana’s past actions come back to haunt him when Mahalakshmi arrives at his house seeking protection from Dhanush. She reveals that her father, Jaya Prakash, was murdered for resisting land acquisition by Dhanush. Gana had previously rescued her and rejected their arranged marriage to keep her safe.
Enraged, Gana confronts Dhanush and his men, launching an intense battle. Though Dhanush survives, the media exposes his crimes. He then attempts to eliminate Gana’s family but fails. In the climax, Gana finally kills Dhanush and his father, ensuring justice. The movie concludes with Hansitha becoming a potential Chief Minister, while Gana continues his fearless journey.
